PITTSBURG COMMUNITY THEATRE TURNS 40

The 2018-2019 season marks the beginning of PCTs yearlong celebration of its incorporation.  On April 9, 2019, PCT officially turns 40. This is the non-profit incorporation anniversary date, so we decided to start our celebration early. Come join us in this yearlong commemoration of all that is wonderful (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), silly (Noises Off!), and completely different (Monty Python’s SPAMALOT). Enjoy the magic that is PCT.

Performance(s):
3 Package Season includes:

Monty Python's SPAMALOT - September 28 - October 7, 2018 - Spamalot, the musical, tells the legendary tale of King Arthur’s quest to find the Holy Grail. Inspired by the classic comedy film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot features shenanigans of Arthur, traveling with his servant Patsy, who recruits several knights to accompany him on his quest. Along the way they meet all the usual characters.

Noises Off - February 15 - 24, 2019 - Michael Frayn's British comedy takes a fond look at the follies of theatre folk, whose susceptibility to out-of-control egos, memory loss, and passionate affairs turn every performance into a high-risk adventure. Noises Off is a delightful backstage farce, complete with slamming doors, falling trousers, and -- of course -- flying sardines!

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - Friday - April 5 -14, 2019 - This musical reimagines the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, 11 brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character, Narrator, the musical follows preferred son Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family.
